Sir:-
With reference to your letter of the 2knd. ultimo,
No. 9658/11, I am directed to acquaint you, for the
information of the Secretary of State for Foreign Af-
faire, that parcels for Japan and for certain places
in Manchuria can be sent by post from this Country
viâ Siberia. The service has been in operation for
some time past.
Arrangements are in progress for
establishing a parcel post to the British Post Office
Agencies in China by the route of Siberia; but settle-
ment in regard to the numerous points of detail an-
volved has necessarily been delayed during the con-
sideration of the question as to the transfer of the
control of the Agencies in quest_un from the Colonial
to the Imperiul Administration.
